Jenifer Jean Briggs was born March 10, 1934, in Arapaho, Custer County, Oklahoma. Jenifer Jean Brown, known as JJ, was the oldest of two daughters born to Ivy Ruff Brown and Ina Mae Shankland. With her sister Nancy Lee Brown, Jenifer grew up in the Arapaho and Clinton area graduating from Clinton High School in 1952. She attended 2 years at Oklahoma A&M (OSU) in Stillwater and was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority.

Memorial Service for Billie Sue Kinder, age 85, of Frederick, Oklahoma, was held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, November 16, 2023, at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel in Frederick, Oklahoma, with Rev. Les Banks officiating. Services are under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Dorothy Mae Brown, age 88, of Tipton, Oklahoma, will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 4, 2023, at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel in Frederick, Oklahoma, with Mr. Jimmie C. Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Tipton Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick. Mrs. Brown passed away Monday morning, October 30, 2023, at Ayers Nursing Home in Snyder, Oklahoma.

Russell (Rusty) L Levings of Oklahoma City passed away on October 27, 2023, after a second bout of cancer, surrounded by his wife and two sons. Rusty was born on July 16, 1947, in Blackwell, Oklahoma to George A. and Helen A. (German) Levings. Rusty attended school in Rush Springs, Oklahoma, graduating in 1965. He was one of the first men enrolled in Oklahoma College of Women, where he completed two years. He then transferred to East Central University in Ada for his final two years, graduating in 1969. He began his teaching/coaching career in Frederick, Oklahoma where he taught English and coached football and wrestling. While in Frederick, he met his future wife, Carolyn Sue Cassidy. They were married on May 22, 1971. After marriage they moved to Moore Oklahoma where he continued teaching English

Gale Caswell, 88, a long-time resident of Hollis, OK passed away October 2, 2023, at OU Medical Center, Oklahoma City, OK. Gale was born December 8, 1934, in Hollis, OK, and grew up on a farm with his, parents Ben and Versie (Pierce) Caswell, three older brothers, Troy, Kent, and Lynn, and a younger sister, Doris.

Kevin (Mark) Rackley, of Grandfield, OK, 73, went home to be with the Lord on October 17, 2023. Mark was born in Frederick, OK on January 18, 1950, to John (Buddy) Rackley and Venice (Kinder) Rackley.

Funeral service for Margarito “Max” Pena Soliz, age 81, of Tipton, Oklahoma, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 25, 2023, at the First Baptist Church of Tipton, with Reverend Les Banks, pastor, and Reverend Juan Gonzales, pastor of Rio De Jordan Iglesia in Altus, officiating.
