Jake Zuniga

Funeral service for Jake Omar Zuniga, age 35, of Frederick, Oklahoma, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 23, 2023, at the Orr Gray Gish Chapel with Pastor Zack Mitchell, Restoration Church, officiating. Jake died Wednesday, October 18, 2023.

Burial will be in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery.

He was born October 21, 1987, in Frederick, Oklahoma, to Cecil Zuniga and Frances DeLeon. He attended Frederick schools and also Lawton High.

He graduated from Frederick High School with the Class of 2005. Jake was an outstanding athlete and participated in football, baseball, and wrestling. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys football fan. He was a loving father, loved his family and friends, and had a heart of gold.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother: Emma Zuniga; maternal grandfather: Lupe DeLeon; an aunt: Loretta Gaytan; an uncle: Robert DeLeon; and a cousin Robert Ibarra.

Survivors include the love of his life: Stasha Gonzalez, Frederick; two daughters: Sophia Zuniga, and Harlie Zuniga; father: Cecil Zuniga and wife Staci, of Lawton; and his mother: Frances DeLeon, of Frederick; three brothers: Nico Zuniga, of Frederick, Anthony Zuniga, of Atoka, and Zach Zuniga, of Frederick; two step-brothers: Chris and Zachary Zuniga; three step sisters: Laura Arreguin, Cari Brewster, and Courtney Delgado; maternal grandmother: Dora DeLeon; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
