Governor Kevin Stitt appointed Rafe Hall to serve as the District Judge for the Third Judicial District which includes Greer, Harmon, Jackson, Kiowa, and Tillman Counties.

Judge Hall graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1990 with a degree in Organizational Administration and a minor in Marketing before earning his juris doctorate from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 1994.

Judge Hall has served the citizens of Oklahoma for the past 27 years. His legal career began as a prosecutor in the Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office where he obtained courtroom experience and had the honor of fighting for the rights of many victims in several high-profile cases.

In 1997, he founded a successful Altus law practice serving thousands of Oklahomans, with partners Brad Leverett, Phil Olson, and Ken Darby. In March of 2019, Judge Hall was named to the Special Judge position for Jackson County. He then ran unopposed and was elected to the Associate District Judge’s position in November of 2022.

“Rafe has an impeccable reputation and is highly qualified to fill this role,” said Governor Stitt. “He comes highly recommended by those who have worked with him and served alongside him.”

Justice Richard Darby presided over Judge Hall’s swearing-in ceremony Aug. 9 at the Jackson County Courthouse.
