Acid reflux may be the culprit in cat’s digestive issues

DEAR PAW’S CORNER: In regard to your recent article on a cat’s constant vomiting: I had the same issue with my cat. Stella was vomiting once or twice a day for several weeks. I couldn’t figure out why; there was no issue with new rugs or furniture. When they sprayed the lawns in our complex, I made sure not to track anything into the house.
Trick-or-Treat safely this Halloween

The Frederick city council has announced that trick-ortreating will remain on Halloween for 2023, City Manager Kyle Davis said. There is no set time for trick-or-treating so just use your best judgement. If porch lights aren’t on, skip that house.

October is Bat Appreciation month. According to batcon.org, bats have been on Earth for more than 50 million years. With more than 1,400 species, they are the second largest order of mammals, and are widely dispersed across six continents.

Members of the rock band Aerosmith, were considering chartering an airplane for an upcoming tour. After inspecting the Convair 240, out of Addison, Texas, they decided to look elsewhere. They reportedly had concerns with the flight crew.
Tipton Chamber purchases new sign

If you’re driving through Tipton, be sure to look out for the new Welcome to Tipton sign the Tipton Chamber of Commerce has purchased. It’s placed at the four-way stop near the park, just past Hop and Sack. The city has also trimmed the trees and put in some new landscaping to enhance the sign. The sign was made possible in part due to the Operation Round Up grant program from Southwest Rural Electric Association, Inc.
