SWOSU Foundation announces key staff promotions

Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) and its longtime philanthropic support organization, the SWOSU Foundation, Inc., have announced the promotion of key personnel in the SWOSU Office of Institutional Advancement (OIA). Based on SWOSU’s main campus at Weatherford in the historic Burton House, the OIA serves as the departmental home of the staff and operations of the SWOSU Foundation, Inc. and its partner organizations, the SWOSU Alumni Association and the SWOSU Athletic Association.

As I headed into the shadowy canyon lookin’ for calves, I couldn’t help but think what I would be doing if I didn’t have the Lord in my life. I was nine years old when I gave my life to Jesus; but I’ll have to admit, I didn’t understand it all at the time. But as I think about it, I don’t think we ever fully come to understand what all that living for and following Christ amounts to.

Frederick Middle School hosts production of ‘Moana’

The Frederick Middle School choir department, led by Carisa Schreiner and Alyson Bishop, hosted their production of the hit Disney movie, Moana. Moana (Taytum Cole-Rogans) tells the story of a girl determined to make the ocean safe again after demigod Maui (portrayed by Lane Woodall) stole the heart of Te Fiti (Brentley Burleson), the goddess of nature, causing her to disintegrate, turning into the angry Te Ka (Deundre Williams).
