Frederick Rotary Club to host Fundraiser Softball Tournament


Frederick Rotary Club will begin a new fundraising effort this year, according to Rotary Club member Cacy Caldwell. An adult co-ed softball tournament is scheduled for Saturday, June 18, 2022, at 9 a.m. at the Frederick City Softball Field located on South Seventh Street.

Teams will have no more than twelve players and must have a minimum of two female players. The entry fee is $200 per team. There will be a twelve-team limit for the tournament. Teams will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis. Cash prizes will be awarded to the first and second place teams.

Food vendors are invited to participate. Vendor space is limited and electricity will not be available. There is a vendor fee of $25.

The tournament will be open to the public. There will be a gate fee of $1 per person.

Funds raised from the event will be put to use in support of the Club’s many local projects, including Big Topics, Intro to Big Topics, Bomber Y.E.L.L., Dictionaries for Tillman County 3rd Graders, Bomber Robotics, Students of the Month and Year, Adult Literacy Campaign, Adopt-a-Sidewalk, Rotary Park, and more.
