Applications for the Frederick School Enrichment Foundation Cora Fisher Scholarship for 2021 graduates of Frederick High School are now available at the high school counselor’s office or Benson Law Firm.
To qualify for the $500 scholarship, 2021 graduates of Frederick High School must have completed 24 hours of course work during their first year of college, obtained a 2.0 GPA, and be enrolled full-time for the first semester of their sophomore year.
For 2021 FHS graduates enrolled in a full-time career technology program and who have completed the full-time course work during the first two semesters on a satisfactory basis, a $250 stipend for the first semester of the second year of the career technology program is available.
All funds will be paid directly to the college or technology center where the student is enrolled. Loyd Benson, Chairman of the Foundation, stated that “The Foundation Board believes that this will be an incentive to those students who wish to continue their education for the first semester of their sophomore year, either in their college course or technology program.”
Applications may be obtained from Mrs. Norvell or on the Foundation’s Facebook page, @FrederickSchoolEnrichment. Completed applications, with a copy of the transcript showing first year coursework and enrollment for the first semester of the 22-23 school year, must be returned by September 1, 2022, via email to [email protected]
