Hitler suspends human euthanasia program

On Aug. 18, 1941, Adolph Hitler suspended the heavily disputed euthanasia program began in 1939, and run by Dr. Viktor Brack, who was named head of the euthanasia department. The program, dubbed the T.4 program began as the systematic killing of children deemed mentally ill and handicapped. According to an article on history.com, children were transported from all over Germany to a Special Psychiatric Youth Department and killed.

SWOSU Biology student wins Outstanding Poster Award at Biomedical Research Symposium

Malachi Newton, a student from the Department of Biological and Biomedical Sciences at Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU), has been recognized with the Outstanding Poster Award at the Oklahoma IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (OK-INBRE) Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium. This event took place at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City.
