45 year old Kevin Vance was arrested late Wednesday evening after he was found inside the First Baptist Church, tampering with the gas stoves located in the church kitchen. Frederick police chief Rick Guill and officer Puentes arrived on scene to find Mr Vance acting very incoherent and frustrated making claims of incidents that had happened to him in the past at the church. Vance was placed under arrest where he was not complying with officers when he was then tassed not only once but twice. After officers had him in custody he was taken to the Frederick Memorial Hospital and then transported to Taliaferro Mental health Facility where he was admitted.
After investigation of this incident it is believed that Vance was in the process of causing an explosion within the church.
