The Tillman County Sheriff Department arrested Grandfield resident Scotty Greer on April 3, 2010. The arrest comes after an 8 month investigation into illegal drug trafficking in the Grandfield area. Tillman County Sheriff Bobby Whittington said that Greer was arrested at his residence, after deputies obtained an arrest warrant charging him with distribution of controlled and dangerous substances. He was incarcerated in the Tillman County Jail under a $100,000.00 bond.

“This individual was one of the main street level dealers in Grandfield. If you sell drugs in Tillman County, you will get caught. It is just a matter of time before deputies of the Tillman County Sheriff Department arrive at your door with arrest warrants” said Sheriff Whittington. Sheriff Whittington was assisted in the arrest of Greer by Reserve Deputies Walter Brister, Michael Albert, Johnny Naramor, and Billy Don Whittington.

Deputies Brister and Albert also arrested William Johnson and Sherry Ruffner of Lamar, Arkansas for Possession of Marihuana, Possession of Drug Paraphenalia, and Possession of Hydrocodone, after stopping the vehicle driven by Johnson for a traffic offense. Johnson and Ruffner are currently incarcerated in the Tillman County Jail awaiting arraignment in the Tillman County District Court.
