Word has been received of the death of former Frederick resident Mary Ellen O’Neil age 82 of Snyder. There is no services planned at this time. Inurnment will be in the Davidson Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home. Mrs. O’Neil passed away Monday, February 1, 2010, at the Memorial Hospital in Frederick.

She was born July 23, 1927, at Fort Green, Florida to Alfred and Hilda (Brown) Nelson. She attended school in Florida.

Survivors include a son, Alfred Bruzik of Frederick; a daughter, Janice Manriquez of Davidson; a brother, William Nelson of Florida; seven grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Mary Ann Downing.
