Funeral Service for L.D. White age 90, of Frederick will be at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 10, 2010, at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brent Morey and Rev. Al Davis officiating. Private family burial will be in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home. Mr. White passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2010, at the Memorial Hospital in Frederick.

L.D. White was born October 10, 1919, in Tillman County, Oklahoma to Dee and Lora (Smith) White. He attended Manitou Public School, later transferring to Henderson Consolidated #3, south of Frederick. He served in the United States Navy Seabees during World War II. He and Reba Darl Robison were united in marriage on January 31, 1942, at Altus, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on May 21, 1987. He later married Margaret Dickson Peters on February 4, 1989, at Frederick, Oklahoma. He was a self employed building contractor for many years, having built many homes in the Lawton area. He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church, but had been attending the First Christian Church.

Survivors included a daughter and son-in-law, Shelia and Michael Oranch of Palestine, Texas; a son and daughter- in-law, Glenn and Tracee White of Jacksonville, Florida; two step-sons and daughterin- law, Dale and Connie Peters and Jeff Peters all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; a brother-inlaw, Barnett Moore of Hawley, Texas; seven grandchildren and spouses, Aimee and Chris Widick, Chad and Brandi Alltizer, Erin Oranch, Rachel White, Lara and Jimmy White, Elizabeth Peters and Andrew Peters; and eight greatgrandchildren, Vance Alltizer, Kris Woodrome, Morgan Woodrome, Whitney Smith, Max Smith, Joshua White, Jacob White and Bradley White.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife; six brothers, Johnny,Ed, Durwood, Noble, Loyd, Joe Lynn White; two sisters, Mae Carter and Deazell Moore.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Diabetes Research in memory of L.D. White.
