The Tillman County Department of Human Services office is once again having a gift drive for DHS foster children. This year, the Tillman County Angel Tree will be located at the Tillman County Court House at 201 N. Main St. in Frederick. Every angel on the Christmas tree is special and uniquely made, just like the child it represents. Every child represented is currently in the custody of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services and is placed in our area. These children may be placed with a relative, in a foster home, or in a shelter awaiting a home. These children need your help to make their Christmas bright, especially during a time in their lives when everything else seems hopeless. Each angel has a note attached with the age and sex of one child, as well as a number relating that child to a list of names. Some angels also include the wish list of that particular child. Each year our communities are very generous to help these children in out of home care. Please partner with us again this year to make each child's Christmas one of excitement and joy. Unwrapped gifts need to be returned to your local DHS office by Friday, December 18, 2009. Please attach the note with the child's number to your gift so that we can match the gifts with the correct child. The Tillman County DHS office is located at 125 N. 9th St. in Frederick. Questions may be directed to the Child Welfare Unit at The TIllman County DHS office at 580-335-6800. In advance, thank you for your help in making this year's gift drive a success.
