Graveside service for Mary F. Mehl, age 78, of rural Frederick will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 1, 2009 at Burkhardt Memorial Chapel in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Roland Behnke officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home. Miss Mehl passed away on Wednesday morning, July 29, 2009 at Southwestern Medical Center in Lawton.
Mary Frances Mehl was born on August 24, 1930 in Frederick, Oklahoma to Lorenz and Theresa "Raisie" (Steinbock) Mehl. She attended Union School west of Frederick. Mary was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church and was active at the Tri-County Nutrition Center in Frederick.
She is survived by one cousin: Vera Brown of Frederick; special friends and care givers: Linda and Allen Smith of Frederick; many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three special aunts who were her caregivers: Minnie Lawson, Julia Vaughan and Bertha Tucker; another aunt: Lena Steinbock; and one uncle: Bill Mehl.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Tri-County Nutrition Center in memory of Mary Mehl.
