She grew up around animals stating, “I could ride before I could walk; however, I have been away from it for a while.” She has true compassion for all animals, large and small. Megan graduated from Eisenhower Senior High School in 2001 and continued her education at Cameron University where she completed an AS in 2004 and a BS in Animal Science in 2005. She then went on to Oklahoma State University to complete her next degree. Megan graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine on May 9, 2009 and started at Frederick Animal Clinic on May 18, 2009.
Dr. O’Hanlon and his wife, Peggy, along with son, Gavin, are looking forward to settling down at their new clinic in Altus, Oklahoma which is currently under construction. The Grand Opening is tentatively scheduled for July 25.
When speaking to Dr. O’Hanlon he stated that “Megan will definitely be an asset for this community. She has a strong interest in cattle and other animals, particularly horses, and hopes to build up that side of the practice.” She is a “cut above most new graduates, very sharp, and will bring new blood to the community.”
She is very excited to be here. Megan has been spending her time meeting lots of new people and receiving a good response. She is currently working with Dr. O’Hanlon and has future plans of possibly purchasing the clinic. Most of the staff at Frederick Animal Clinic will remain the same. Frederick Animal Clinic’s hours are 8-5 Monday thru Friday and 8-12 every other Saturday.
