Southwestern Oklahoma State University football star and previous graduate of Frederick High School Ruzell McCoy was the top winner at the annual All-Sports Banquet held last week on the Southwestern Oklahoma State University campus McCoy was recognized as the top male athlete. The award is based on the athletic achievement, academic standing, community and campus involvement and citizenship.
Ruzell McCoy, a senior from Frederick, became the school first-ever NCAA Division II first teamer All-American with his selection to football Gazette All America Team. McCoy was also a record-setting linebacker who was twice selected to the LSC North Division first-team squad. He was chosen as North Division Linebacker-of-the-year.
