Stultz has been charged in district court this week with manslaughter for her role in a drunk-driving accident reported in Tillman County on New Years Day.

According to court records, Frederick resident Christy Lynn Stultz, 29, was charged Monday in Tillman County with first-degree manslaughter, a felony punishable by not less than four years in prison, after investigators with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol determined she had alcohol in her system at the time of a fatal crash reported on New Year's Day.

The accident report said Stultz was driving west on Oklahoma 5, about five miles west of Frederick, around 3:45 a.m. when her van ran off the left side of the road, traveled almost 200 feet through the ditch before crashing into a culvert. Her van rolled an undetermined amount of times, ejecting her passenger, 35-year-old Clifton R. Golden, Frederick, through the windshield. Stultz was taken to a local hospital, and a medical examiner pronounced Golden dead at the scene, the report said.

Stultz was booked into the Tillman County jail and later released on a $10,000 bond.
