David Fischer was born May 2, 1920, in Chattanooga to Daniel and Eva (Bierig) Fischer. He attended Hiawatha School, northwest of Chattanooga. On August 2, 1945, he and Esther Fiel were united in marriage at Ashlin, Kansas.
He is survived by his wife, Esther of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Johnny Curtsinger of Broken Arrow; a son and daughter-in-law, Don and JoAnn Fischer of Chattanooga; a brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Wilma Fischer of Chattanooga; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter who is expected to arrive in January, and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Joe, Casper and Jake Fischer; and three sisters, Hanna Stoll, Mary Beisel and Eva Stoll.
