1988 - Frederick Memorial Nursing Center opened its doors. - Phillip Ratcliff was installed as new president of Davidson Chamber of Commerce. - Angela Perrett was chosen as A.A.U.W.’s Girl of the Month. - Jeff Gibson and Dena Dickson were named Rotary Students of the Month.

1961 - Chosen to represent Grandfield at the Boys State Youth Government Camp was Charles McLain, Robert Hardin and Mark Rackley. - Walter Crouch ends his 30 year career as Public Relations Director at Southwestern. - FHS 1961 class officers were President Randy Overton, Vice President Wade Patton, Secretary Cathy Caldwell, Treasurer Karri Gant. - Doc Duckworth hangs up his mop after 18 years of custodial service to the Post Office. He reached the postal departments mandatory retirement age of 70.
