The Frederick Bomber Band competed at the state contest level on Wednesday, March 28, at East Central University in Ada. On the Ataloa Theater stage, the band performed “Riders on the Southern Front”, by Roland Barrett, and “Overtura”, by Ed Huckeby. Following the concert performance, the band competed in sight-reading contest. Five of the day’s judges awarded the Bomber Band “excellent” ratings, with one judge awarding a “superior” rating.
