The Frederick Bombers had a good run in the Carnegie Tournament last week.  The Bombers lost the first game on Thursday to the Elk City Elks.  That score was 63-54.  They then took on and beat the Hobart Bearcats 69-55 on Friday and continued to win on Saturday  as they defeated the Snyder Cyclones by the score of 53-45.  The two wins earned the Bombers 5th place in the tournament.  Anyone who follows Bomber basketball knows that Snyder and Hobart are tough to beat.  The Bombers have done that and more this season.

The Bearcats went down 69-55 on Friday evening.  The Bombers high scorers were Grant Hoover and Tyler Hicks.  Grant was 12-19 from the free throw line and finished the game with 20 points.  Tyler Hicks played his usually dominant role inside and muscled his way to a 19 point performance.  Tyler had a good night at the line as well.  He went 7 for 11 at the charity stripe.  Dusahn Farrone contributed 10 points to the Bomber effort.  Dallas Matthews had 6, Trevor Flores 5, and Trey Booker 4 points.  Also scoring points were Patrick Burleson, Sky Nolan.  Each had 2.  Kyler Ufer rounded out the Bomber effort with a single free throw.  As a team the Bombers were good from the line.  I know Coach Cache Hill would like all of them to fall but he should be pleased that the Bombers made 25 out of 38 free throws attempted.

Grant Hoover was again the high scorer for Frederick.  Grant was 9-12 from the line and put in a total of 15 points.  Tyler Hicks had 12 points, Dusahn Farrone 10, Trevor Flores 7, Sky Nolan 5, and Dallas Matthews finished with 4 points.  As a team the Bombers made 13 out of 28 free throws.  The Bombers beat the Cyclones 53-45.

The Stephens County Tournament in Comanche is coming up for the Bombers.  Good luck team!
