For the second week in a row the Frederick Bomber football team pitched a 55-0 shutout.  Last week was Walters, this week it was the Washington Warriors.  This was an important game in District 2A-3 and one which the team took very seriously.  Most thought it would be tough but it wasn't.  The Bombers' machine stalled on their first possession but then began to roll and didn't let up until the game was over.

With Trevor Flores out for the week with bruised vertebrae, Blake Cotten stepped in to fill the quarterback spot.  Blake put up some outstanding numbers to lead the team to victory.  Blake threw for 337 yards and 4 touchdowns.  Trey Booker had his usual great night as he rushed for 132 yards on 13 carries.  He caught 6 passes for 104 yards.  These numbers included 5 TD's.  Marcus Ibarra accounted for 106 yards on the ground and 1 score.  Grant Hoover and Sky Nolan also caught TD passes from Cotten.  Hoover's TD covered 25 yards while the pass to Nolan was from 42 yards out.  The Bombers led 41-0 at the half.  The second half saw some Bomber miscues by way of the penalty flag.  The Bombers scored twice more in the second half and won the game going away at 55-0.  Frederick's defense again proved to be a stone wall.  They held Washington to 5 first downs and a total of 59 yards, all on the ground.

The Bombers will have their toughest test to date as they have to travel to Comanche and take on the Indians Thursday night.  Comanche blasted Hobart 41-0 last Friday evening.  That puts both of us at 7-0 (4-0) and the top of District 2A-3.  This should be a great game to watch.  The Bombers could use fans in the stands rooting our team to victory.  Please make the trip.

 GO BOMBERS!
