The Tipton Lady Tigers defeated Olustee-Eldorado, 70-34


The Frazer Bank Invitational kicked off Thursday morning with the Tipton Lady Tigers and the Olustee-Eldorado Lady Diamondbacks, and from the beginning of the game until the final buzzer, it was all Tipton.

The Lady Tigers surged to a 70-34 victory thanks to R’Reana McBride, Aneisa Fatje and Tarrin Tyler. McBride and Fatje each scored 14 points in the game while Tyler chipped in 10.

McBride started the game on fire, scoring eight points in the first quarter while Tyler dropped seven of her 10 in the first quarter to give Tipton a big, 30-2, lead in the first quarter. From there, the game got more out of hand for the Lady Diamondbacks as Tipton went into the break leading 46-9.

The Lady Tigers added 12 points in the third quarter to extend their lead by one to 38 points before adding 12 in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.

Maria Escobedo led the way for Olustee, scoring 20 points in the loss. The Lady Diamondbacks will take on Grandfield tomorrow at 11 a.m. while Tipton will battle Sweetwater tomorrow at 4:20 p.m.
