Funeral services for Jimmy Dean Chandler, 60 of Frederick, were scheduled for 2 p.m., Friday, Aug. 3, 2018, at the Lighthouse Assembly of God Church, with Pastor Albert DeLeon and Johnny Flores officiating. Burial was set to follow in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick. Pastor Chandler passed away Tuesday evening, July 31, 2018, at the Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton.
Jimmy Dean Chandler was born Sept. 23, 1957, in Miami, Okla. to Milford Charley and Sue (Viles) Chandler. He attended Manitou Public School, later transferring to Tipton High School. On Oct. 5, 1974, he and Molly Beatrice Flores were united in marriage in Manitou. Jimmy later served in the United States Army National Guard. He pastored for over thirty-eight years and was presently pastoring New Beginnings in Frederick.
He is survived by his wife, Molly Chandler of the home; three sons, Carey Corrales and his wife Teresa of Frederick, Jamie Chandler and wife Chrissy of Tipton and Bryan Chandler and his wife Feather of Cache; one daughter, Tracy Collom and her husband Terry of Frederick; two sisters, Kathy DeLeon and her husband Albert of Lawton and Donna Marshall and her husband Jeff of Enid; a brother-in-law, Manuel Copeland of Manitou; ten grandchildren, Courtney Burleson and her husband Josh, Clay Corrales, Maci Chandler, Lane Chandler, Hannah Chandler, Maddie Chandler, Dallas Chandler, Ariel Collom, McKinley Chandler and Aislee Collom; one great-grandson, Branson Burleson; and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Milford and Sue Chandler; and one sister, Nancy Copeland.
Memorial contributions may be made to New Beginnings in memory of Pastor Jimmy Chandler.
The family were scheduled to receive friends and family on Thursday evening from 5 to 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
