A Tillman County man was arrested on complaints of child sexual abuse and soliciting a minor for indecent exposure or obscene material. The victim is under 12-years-old. A Tillman County woman was arrested for enabling child sexual abuse.

Tillman County Sheriff Bobby Whittington requested help from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation investigating allegations of child sexual abuse. During the investigation, agents discovered Christopher Martinez, 33, allegedly had sexual conduct with a child under the age of 12. During the investigation, Kriston Lewis, 37, was allegedly told of the allegations. Martinez was reportedly the live-in boyfriend of Lewis and the Department of Human Services (DHS) had Martinez removed from the home and told Lewis that Martinez was not to have contact with children.

According to a probable cause affidavit, the victim underwent a child forensic interview where she allegedly disclosed the abuse that occurred between herself and Martinez. The affidavit states the victim said the events first began around July 4 and the last time around Christmas, between 2015 and 2017.

On Dec. 19, Tillman County Undersheriff Mike Burton and the OSBI Case Agent were searching for Martinez when they learned he was at the Grandfield Elementary School. According to the OSBI’s Facebook page, “law enforcement observed Martinez and Lewis leave the school together. A traffic stop was made and Martinez was arrested for Child Sexual Abuse and Solicitation of a Minor and Lewis was arrested for Enabling Child Sexual Abuse. Martinez and Lewis was transported to the Tillman County Jail.”
