The state vocal music contest was held in Shawnee, OK on the OBU campus on April 18, 2013. The High School Varsity Choir Women received an excellent rating after securing scores of superior, excellent, and excellent from the judges.
Competing in ensembles was a quartet comprised of Sage Watson, Brena Neely, Kimber Treadwell, and Kate Benson. This group was awarded an excellent rating. Brooklyn Johnson and Aysia Calvillo also received an excellent rating on their duet, “When I Close My Eyes.”
The soloists receiving superior ratings were Sage Watson, Brena Neely, Kate Benson, Aaron Nolan, Chris Crissmon, and Emily Howard. Excellent ratings were earned by soloists Kimber Treadwell, Jaycie Martell, Aysia Calvillo, and Brooklyn Johnson. (Not pictured: Kimber Treadwell, Aaron Nolan and Emily Howard)
