Hogue and Wheeler plan May wedding

Mr. and Mrs. Scott and Brenda Hogue of Manitou are proud to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Britney Elizabeth Hogue to Kurtis Joel Wheeler, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roger and Stacey Wheeler of Depew, OK. Britney received her education from Tipton High School, graduating in May of 2009. She went in the fall to Redland Community College in El Reno where she received her Associates in Animal Science in May 2011. She is currently working towards her Bachelors in Animal Science/Pre Veterinarian Medicine at Oklahoma State College. Britney is currently employed by Baker Animal Clinic as a Veterinarian Assistant located in Stillwater.

Kurtis received his education from Broken Arrow High School, graduating in may 2010. While attending high school, Kurtis completed a certificate in diesel technology from Tulsa Technology Center. During the summer of 2010, he completed a course at the Oklahoma Horseshoeing School in Purcell. That fall, he began his college education at Redlands Community College. He will graduate in May 2012 with his Associates in Animal Science. He plans to complete his Bachelors at Oklahoma State College. Kurtis is currently emplyed by Express Clydesdales Ranch in Yukon and Builders Supply Inc. in Tulsa.

The couples’ journey through their love of FFA, raising and showing livestock, and animal science brought them together as they met during one of their science classes at Redlands. Their western style wedding ceremony is just one example of this love and will take place Sunday, May 27, 2012 at Express Clydesdale Ranch.
