The Frederick Campus of Great Plains Technology Center Career Day 2016 is scheduled 9-11 a.m. Oct. 4. College and military representatives are slated to be in the Loyd Benson Seminar Center to answer questions from students and supply information for those seeking to make decisions to continue education or military service after high school graduation.

Career Day is coordinated through the Oklahoma College Day and Night Coordination Committee. Students from Davidson, Frederick, Grandfield, Snyder, and Tipton are invited to attend the event with school counselors and browse the tables occupied by each college or military service represented to ask questions and gather information. College representatives typically leave materials for each school counselor, which will be available to students at their high school.

The event is streamlined so students who register prior to the event can print a bar code which can be scanned at each table. The bar code contains the student’s registration information so students don’t have to fill out cards at each college table and college representatives don’t have a mountain of data input to do after touring the entire state.
